Adam is a student and is currently pursuing acting. He complains about the gaps between his teeth and would like a conservative and esthetic solution.
1. the gaps between his upper and lower front teeth
2. the rounded corners on his upper two central front teeth
3. the yellow staining
Since Adam has completely healthy teeth, we decided to whiten his teeth to brighten the color and then fill the gaps and recontour the shapes of his teeth by resin bonding.
Adam was extremely excited with the outcome and is confident his new teeth will help him land more acting gigs. I certainly hope so!
Kelly was a bride-to-be when she first came to our practice. She noticed that her teeth were wearing away at a rapid rate and wanted to know her options.
Note the short upper six front teeth due to grinding and wearing. The edges of these teeth look like one straight line.
We treated the six front teeth with porcelain veneers to lengthen them. This procedure gave Kelly a smile line that naturally follows the curvature of her lower lip.
Tracy came to our office while wearing braces. She had small anterior teeth and wanted to know options to make them look more natural. We collaborated with Dr. Lee, an orthodontist, during the last six months of Tracy's orthodontic treatment. With guidance from our office, Dr. Lee was able to move teeth into the correct positions and create the right amount of space between teeth. The ideal positions of surrounding teeth allowed us to provide the most conservative restorations.
This photo was post-braces. Note
1. All teeth were lined up beautifully.
2. Two small upper front teeth.
Because the teeth were already small, we didn't need to remove any tooth structure to create natural looking veneers. Notice we added the white spots on the veneers to match the characterization of Tracy's other teeth.
Nathan is the cutest, most well behaved kid I know. We normally don't work on kids but since esthetics was so important to his mom, we took care of him anyway.
He chipped his tooth from a fall.
We decided to use resin bonding to address the chip. This is the most conservative treatment for someone his age. I also decided to add white spots to his bonding to mimic his natural tooth characteristics!
Kelly came to us because her teeth were chipping! After evaluating her case, it was evident that her bite is the main cause. Unfortunately, there was no quick fix for Kelly. This case would involve three different specialists: an oral surgeon, an orthodontist, and us, to work cooperatively so Kelly can get the result she wants!
In this picture, Kelly has already been through two years of treatment, which involved jaw surgery and braces. Now that her bite is ideal and stabilized, Kelly is ready for the restorations she initially came in for. Veneers! Note the short two front teeth due to chipping.
After analyzing Kelly's teeth and facial features, we knew we needed to lengthen Kelly's teeth. We also needed her to get a gumlift to harmonize her smile.
Veneers restore the length on her four front teeth, which resulted in a more youthful smile.
Kelly was ecstatic with the outcome and cannot stop smiling!
JL came into our practice hating his front crown. "This big, ugly tooth have been haunting me for FIVE years! I finally saved up enough money to get my teeth fix. Please help!"
Here were some of JL's chief complaints.
1. The large white cap that haunted JL for five years.
2. The large chip adjacent to the large cap.
3. The overall discoloration of his teeth.
We got JL's dentition to health with a complete exam, cleaning, and restored all cavities.
The cosmetic phase of the treatment involved whitening his teeth, replacing his big white cap with a more natural looking crown, and harmonizing his smile with three more veneers.
JL was almost teary - eyed with his new teeth. "Finally, I can shut my friends' mouth up. They can no longer tease me. Thank you! Thank you, Dr. Chiem!"
